The Michigan Wolverines are looking to move to 13-0 tonight as they take on the Central Michigan Chippewas. The game will take place in Ann Arbor and will be at 7 p.m.
The Wolverines are playing very solid basketball and are no doubt one of the best teams in the country. The last time Michigan played Central they lost. The game was back in 2007, John Beilein’s first year at Michigan.
I look for Michigan to win easily in this one. Central is a rebuilding program and hasn’t done very well against top 25 opponents. But Central might still could be competitive in this one because of breaking news.
Tim Hardaway Jr. will not dress or play tonight against the Chippewas because of a right ankle injury. So far on the season, Hardaway is averaging 15.8 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game. He is a major leader on this squad and him not playing could have a decent impact on tonight’s game.
I believe that Michigan will still win very easily tonight. They just have so much more talent than Central and it will be a tough environment for the Chippewas to handle. Senior guard Kyle Randall will most likely get his share of points but it won’t be enough for the Chippewas to pull off the upset. I think Michigan wins by 23 points.
If they do win, the Wolverines will be off to their best start since the 1985-86 season, which they started 16-0.
