What a game yesterday between the Detroit Lions and the Oakland Raiders. Throughout the whole game, it was back and forth. When the Raiders took a 27-14 lead, I thought it was over. But the Lions proved a lot of people yesterday by making an unbelievable come from behind win on the road.
The Lions now put themselves in a great spot to make their first playoff appearance since 1999. They sit at 9-5 and with a win next week against the red-hot San Diego Chargers and they can clinch a wild-card spot. Here is what center Dominic Raiola had to say about the win according to the Detroit Free Press:
“There’s no stopping this team,” center Dominic Raiola said. “All I’ve got to say is, Detroit, start tailgating now. We need you Saturday. We need you loud Saturday.
“This is the biggest game since I’ve been here and it’s going to be fun. It’s going to be fun, playing a meaningful game, in the city. We’re probably not going to have a home playoff game if we get in, so this is our last chance. Early Christmas present.”
As for the Tebow mania, the Broncos lost to the New England Patriots 41-23. However, I felt like Tim Tebow didn’t play that bad. Tebow had 93 yards on the ground with two touchdowns and 194 yards in the air. The Broncos defense couldn’t stop Tom Brady. However, Tebow did have a big fumble. I feel like Tebow will respond very well to the loss and continue to the lead the Broncos to the AFC West title.
I believe that Tebow mania is here to stay for a few years.
