Weekend Preview 10/28

As scary as this weekend is for many folks, it will be an entertaining one in the sports world.

With the baseball season ending tonight, I just want to say that this has been one of the best seasons of Major League Baseball I have ever watched. The action has been thrilling and last night was an epic game. Thank you MLB, thank you for increasing my love for the game even more.

Also shout out to the Eastern Michigan Eagles. The Eagles are 5-3 on the season and they beat both Central and Western for the first time since 2007. Congrats to the program and showing vast improvement this year.

For the Michigan State Spartans, it has been an emotional week after a huge win over Wisconsin. However, the Spartans can’t celebrate just yet because they have another huge game this weekend against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Both teams are ranked in the top 15 in the nation. The game is in Nebraska but I feel like the Spartans are hot right now and will pull off the win. Pick: Spartans by 5.

As for the Michigan Wolverines, they will host the Purdue Boilermakers. The Boilermakers are in second place in the big ten Leaders Division. The Wolverines are coming off a big loss to the Spartans. However, I feel like the Wolverines will respond nicely and get a big W. Pick: Michigan by 7.

My most intriguing matchup for this week in college is #9 Oklahoma at. #8 Kansas State. The Sooners are coming off of a shocking loss to an unranked Texas Tech team at home and they have not loss two games in a row since 2003. Look for this to be a shootout. Pick: Oklahoma by 7.

My upset pick of the week is Baylor over Oklahoma State. I have a wild hunch that RG3 will have a coming out party in this game.. Pick: Baylor by 3.

For the Detroit Lions, this is a huge week for them. The Lions are the better team compared to the Denver Broncos but I could see them stealing this win at home. But I think this is a different Lions team and they will get the win. Pick: Lions by 4.

My most exciting matchup is the New England Patriots at Pittsburgh. Both teams have a lot to prove and it will be a very physical game. Pick: New England by 3.

My upset pick of the week is the Colts over the Titans. I feel the Colts will respond after getting destroyed on Sunday Night Football. Pick: Colts by 4.

Everybody have a safe and spooky weekend.
