WOW. That’s all I can say about last night’s game five victory for the Detroit Tigers over the New York Yankees. It was a game that will be remembered for a long time in Detroit Tigers history. Now the Tigers move on to play the Texas Rangers in the ALCS (American League Championship Series) for the right to play in the World Series.

Game one between the two teams is Saturday with both team aces taking the mound. The Tigers will have Justin Verlander pitching and the Rangers will fire back with C.J. Wilson. Both pitchers have had great success this season, but one of JV’s losses came against the Rangers early on in the year. However, I feel the Tigers will ride the momentum and take game one on Saturday.

The college football season is as exciting as ever. The Michigan State Spartans have the week off this week until they play the Michigan Wolverines next weekend. The Wolverines do play this weekend against the Northwestern Wildcats. Michigan is trying to avoid the upset against the Wildcats. I believe that the game will be very close noting it is at Northwestern yet I still think the Wolverines will win. I like Michigan to win by 5.

My most exciting matchup in college football this week is #3 Oklahoma vs #11 Texas. This came should be a classic shootout between two classic teams. It is always a battle with this two so look for a lot of points to be scored. Pick: Oklahoma by 10.

My upset pick of the week: Texas Tech over #24 Texas A&M. I think the Red Raiders will steal this win. It is at Texas Tech and they are undefeated but have a lot to prove. I think Texas A&M is on a bad streak so this would be a perfect time for Texas Tech to take advantage of that. Pick: Texas Tech by 3.

Moving on to the NFL, the Detroit Lions will play there first Monday Night Football game since 2001 as they host the Chicago Bears. This looks to be an intense game as emotions will be high and the fans will be very into the game. Look for the Lions to capitalize on the opportunity to go 5-0. Pick: Lions by 7. Also I pick this game as my most exciting matchup in the NFL this week.

For my upset in the NFL, I am going to pick the Buffalo over the Eagles. The Eagles obviously have the more talented team but have been not doing so good recently. Philadelphia is still the favorite in this game because of the fact they have so much potential. However, it is at Buffalo and I feel they will win at home. Pick: Buffalo by 6.
